How to properly maintain your Caramel & cie. school bag or backpack?

Our backpacks and school bags meet all the requirements of our brand: they are ergonomic, lightweight, eco-friendly... and stylish!

Designed to stimulate your children's creativity and imagination, these backpacks are sturdy and comfortable: padded and adjustable shoulder straps, a breathable back panel, and reinforced seams. Practical and waterproof, they're waterproof both inside and out.

Often, our children put them through all sorts of torture ;) starting with the high-flying kind where their bag does a loop in the yard, or the kind where the chocolate cake ends up crushed at the bottom of the schoolbag !

How to extend the life of your child's schoolbag or backpack?

Because we firmly believe that the primary virtue of an eco-friendly schoolbag is its durability, thus reducing waste, we make them sturdy. However, we understand that they can still get damaged. Therefore, we guarantee all parts* for 2 years from the date of purchase and cover the cost of shipping them to your home.

A fastener that comes loose? A torn handle? Caramel & cie will send you fasteners, buckles and handles free of charge.

How to clean your child's schoolbag or backpack?

All our school bags and backpacks are waterproof and surface washable, making maintenance easier! To keep them clean, there's no need to get out the whole range of cleaning products, just a little water, some soap (Marseille soap!) and a small brush.

Do not undertake a spring wash; it is better to treat stains locally, especially if the schoolbag or backpack only has a few stains.

To remove them, simply use a damp cloth or a sponge lightly moistened with soapy water, both inside and outside your child's schoolbag or backpack. Above all, do not use bleach, as it could discolor and damage the bag.

For bags with a leather panel, avoid contact with water and prefer to use a small brush.

Important note: machine washing is strongly discouraged. Even on a delicate cycle, it could damage the reinforced parts of the schoolbag, the back panel, and the padded shoulder straps.
