How to properly maintain your Caramel & cie. school bag or backpack?

Our backpacks and school bags meet all of our brand's requirements: they are ergonomic, lightweight, eco-friendly... and stylish!

Designed to stimulate your children's creativity and imagination, they are durable and comfortable: padded and adjustable straps, sweat-wicking back, reinforced seams. Practical, they are waterproof on the outside as well as on the inside.

Very often, our children put them through all sorts of torture ;) starting with the high-wire act where their bag does a loop in the yard or the one where the chocolate cake ends up squashed at the bottom of the schoolbag!

How to extend the life of your child's school bag or backpack?

Because we believe the primary virtue of an eco-friendly school bag is its durability and reduced waste, we make them sturdy. But we're aware they can still get damaged. We guarantee all parts* for 2 years from the date of purchase and take care of shipping them to your home.

A fastener that's come loose? A torn handle? Caramel & cie will send you fasteners, buckles, and handles for free.

How to clean your child's school bag or backpack?

All our school bags and backpacks are waterproof and surface washable, making maintenance easier! To properly maintain them, there's no need to get out the battery of household products, all you need is a little water, soap (Marseille soap!) and a small brush.

Do not undertake a spring wash; it is better to treat stains locally, especially if the school bag or backpack only has a few stains.

To remove them, you can simply use a damp cloth or a sponge slightly dampened with soapy water, both on the outside and inside of your child's school bag or backpack. Above all, do not use bleach, which could discolor the bag and damage it.

For bags with a leather insert, avoid contact with water and prefer to use a small brush.

Important: Machine washing is strongly discouraged. Even on a delicate cycle, it could damage the backpack's reinforcements, back, and padded straps.
